Back in October, Cadillac Society exclusively reported details regarding the refreshed 2024 Cadillac CT5, which will bring a fresh face to the compact luxury sedan. Now, we’ve spotted a prototype shrouded in light front-end camo undergoing testing on public roads.
Previously, sources familiar with the matter explained that the front end of the 2024 Cadillac CT5 will be redesigned with a new set of headlights and some slight changes to the front fascia. These spy shots confirm our sources’ intel, although the prototype seen here wears placeholder headlight assemblies that will be replaced by more attractive units on the production model.
Additionally, the front fascia is slightly altered to be more agressive beneath the camo, moving away from the “semi-smiley” design element found on the current model. This particular 2024 Cadillac CT5 is the Sport trim, as evidenced by its 19-inch alloy wheels finished in Satin Graphite (production code 57M).
However, the vehicle’s greenhouse remains the same, including the rather controversial C-pillar “kink” that has been subject to criticism in the past. Additionally, the taillights have not been altered from the current model, although sources indicated to Cadillac Society that the luxury marque might end up giving the luxury sedan a set of new taillight graphics, which are not present on this prototype.
There are no clear photos of this prototype’s interior, but the forthcoming model will feature an overhauled cockpit design. The CT5 will get a wide screen that spans both the instrument cluster and infotainment screen, and in turn, the center stack will be revised in order to accommodate this screen. This update will be similar to what will be found within the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, via a trend that started with the Cadillac Lyriq.
It’s worth noting that this refresh is not expected to make its way to the ultra-high-performance 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, which will continue with the existing model’s exterior while gaining some of the key interior updates from its lesser siblings.
