First Photos Of 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport: Exclusive

Currently, the Cadillac Lyriq is only offered in the Luxury trim level – a base trim level within Cadillac’s Y trim level hierarchy. But as Cadillac Society previously reported, a more complete trim level lineup is on the way for the luxury electric crossover. One of these incoming trim levels is the Lyriq Sport, which – as we exclusively reported earlier this month – will feature a unique front LED “grille” that differs from that used on the Luxury trim. Now, we’ve exclusively captured the Lyriq Sport on camera for the very first time, giving us a real-world look at the electric crossover’s exterior elements.

Here we can see the Lyriq Sport’s unique “grille pattern,” which gives the luxury crossover a more aggressive expression than that of the current Luxury model. The”grille” has black surrounds and the LED pattern within it is also different, making the vehicle’s maw appear wider. The horizontal and vertical lighting elements on either side of the fascia, however, are the same as what’s seen on current Lyriq models.

Sleek black trim can be found around the vehicle’s side windows, giving the Lyriq a more sinister overall look. This is carried through to the crossover’s rear, as the taillights have been darkened and feature a smoky (Neutral Density) finish.

Additionally, a closer glimpse of the interior reveals one of the new colorways that will be offered for the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq, which features white piping down the center of the backrests.

As far as the powertrain, the forthcoming Lyriq Sport will likely offer a choice of two powertrain options. This will include the dual-motor setup found in the Lyriq AWD variants, where it produces over 500 horsepower, a figure fitting of the Sport moniker. It will also be offered with the “regular” single-motor setup, which is found in the  2023 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury. For this configuration, a single Ultium motor is mounted on the rear axle, lending 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque for an estimated 312 miles of driving range. The all-new Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
