Beginning with the 2024 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq will get a more traditional trim level lineup, following the trim structure offered on other crossovers in the luxury marque’s portfolio.
The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq launched with the Debut Edition, a limited-edition trim level exclusively available on the initial units of the luxury electric crossover. Two additional trim levels, Luxury RWD and Luxury AWD, are inbound later this year for the 2023 model year. As a reminder, the Luxury trim represents the base trim level available, per the luxury marque’s Y-trim level strategy. That means that the Lyriq is currently only available in the most affordable trim level.
For the 2024 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq will get a more robust trim level lineup that will include Luxury, along with Premium Luxury and Sport trims, each bringing higher-end features to the electric luxury crossover. Further down the line, there could also be an up-level Platinum trim offered on top of Premium Luxury and Sport trims, but this has yet to be confirmed.
We also expect more exterior color options to become available. As it stands, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is only offered in two exterior hues: Satin Steel Metallic and Stellar Black Metallic. Two more colors – Opulent Blue Metallic and Crystal White Tricoat – will join the lineup for the 2023 model year, making for a total of four exterior hues, so there’s certainly room to offer a wider variety of exterior colors.
The same goes for the interior. Currently, only two interior colorways – Noir and Sky Cool Gray – are offered. As such, there’s plenty of room to expand the options list of interior combinations. Additionally, leather seating could also be introduced to the electric luxury crossover, since the only interior material offered is Inteluxe simulated leather.
The addition of new trim levels could open the door for a wider variety of other exterior styling options, such as a broader wheel selection. Currently, the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq only offers two wheels – a set of standard 20-inch wheels and an optional set of 22-inchers. More and different wheel options could open up a myriad of customization opportunities for Lyriq buyers.
Beyond that, Cadillac Society has recently learned that the Lyriq will eventually be offered with heated rear outboard seats. The feature, which is not offered on 2023 model year vehicles, will likely join the lineup as part of a higher-end trim level, like Premium Luxury or Sport.
The Cadillac Lyriq has already proven to be a highly sought-after vehicle. When order books opened on May 19th, they filled up in no time, though interested parties are now able to sign up for the waitlist by placing a fully refundable $100 deposit.
Pricing for the Lyriq Luxury RWD starts at $62,900, while the Lyriq Luxury AWD starts at $64,900.
