Customers who want to give their Cadillac Escalade the supercharged power similar to that of the Escalade-V can now do so, thanks to Callaway Cars’ new supercharger package for the full-size luxury SUV.
Callaway Cars specializes in making performance upgrade packages for vehicles made by Cadillac parent, General Motors. The Old Lyme, Connecticut-based firm offers a myriads of kits for all sorts of vehicles under the GM umbrella, and its latest package looks to build on the already-impressive performance of the fifth-generation Escalade by giving it more get-up-and-go with its new blower kit.
As a reminder, the fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque in stock form via its naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87). Slapping the Callaway Cars SC602 package brings the full-size luxury SUV’s performance to a whopping 602 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque, adding 182 horses and 100 pound-feet of torque.
These performance gains are thanks to the Gen Three TVS R2650 Supercharger System, which boasts TripleCooled intercooling in order to maintain density of the blower’s charge air. That supercharger is joined with a high-flow intake and low-restriction stainless steel exhaust system that sports dual outlets and quad tips. Callaways CalCal engine control module makes sure all that power can be reined in, and also makes the upgraded Cadillac Escalade emissions compliant in all 50 states.
The kit also features several exterior upgrades, such as a Callaway carbon engine cover, aluminum door sills, key medallions as well as authentication plates for the dash and engine bay. Additionally, the kit features chrome exterior badging that can be affixed to the outside of the Cadillac Escalade to set it apart from its stock counterparts. The supercharger kit is covered by a three-year/36,000-mile Limited Warranty.
More customization options are available for an extra cost, such as 20-inch nine-spoke alloy wheels, 22-inch 10-spoke wheels, a billet pedal set, an Alcanta horn cover, black exhaust tips and black exterior badging. The SC602 supercharger package is available for both the regular-length Escalade and extended-length Escalade ESV.
