The highly anticipated reveal of the Cadillac Celestiq show car is just over a week away, and today, the luxury marque offered one final series of teaser images before the full unveiling takes place.
The first image is that of the front end, but viewed from the side. This image shows a very slow-slung front quarter panel, a seven-spoke wheel, and vertical headlights and light signatures. This image also gives us a glimpse of the front “grille,” which seems to have an LED display similar to that found on the Lyriq.
Perhaps the most exciting image from the final group of teasers is the reveal of the Celestiq’s sleek, streamlined rear end. It features the luxury marque’s new signature vertical LED taillights, which calls to mind the design of the taillights on the Cadillac Lyriq. In addition, the teasers provide a sense of the vehicle’s size, giving us an idea of its low-slung profile and exquisite exterior design.
The rest of the teaser images take the viewer inside the large electric sedan, providing a new view of its red leather upholstery and modern-retro design. Displays attached to the backs of the front seats are visible, as is the screen between the rear seats that seems to serve as a control panel for cabin temperature and other comfort features. Seat adjustment buttons are affixed to the door panels, like on the Lyriq, and the panels themselves are backlit in what appears to be similar way as the Lyriq.
The final teaser shows a very generous rear cargo space that features polished aluminum cargo rails.
The upcoming Cadillac Celestiq will be the first vehicle ever built at the GM Global Technical Center, where it will be assembled by hand. It will also be the most customizable Cadillac ever, as buyers will have full control of the build right down to the most minute details. If they want interior trim made from a very specific tree, the luxury marque will make it happen. It should come as no surprise, then, that the Celestiq is expected to carry a starting price of $300,000 – and that it will only be marketed in “affluent” areas.
We’ll provide more details on the Celestiq as soon as we get them. Until then, be sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for more Cadillac Celestiq news and around-the-clock Cadillac news coverage. We also invite you to join the latest discussions in our Cadillac forums and Cadillac Celestiq forum.
