Cadillac Society executive editor Alex Luft has the opportunity to play with the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing this week, and we want to answer your questions about the ultra-high-performance sedan.
Our CT5-V Blackwing features an exterior painted in Infrared Tintcoat, paired with the interior colorway Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents with Full Semi-Aniline Leather Seats. Keeping the front passengers comfortable are a set of high-performance front bucket seats, and the interior features the Sueded Microfiber Wrapped Interior Trim package. Standard black seatbelts keep things classy on the inside.
The super sedan rolls on standard 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a Polished/Dark Android finish, and it features a host of driver assist and safety features. This includes the Parking Package, which adds a Rear Camera Mirror, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and a Cabin Air Ionizer. It also has the carbon ceramic brake upgrade with cross-drilled rotors with red-finished calipers, but they are also available in blue and bronze. Opting for this upgrade adds $9,000 to the cost of the super sedan.
Under the hood, of course, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing features the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), which is tuned to deliver a whopping 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, routed exclusively to the rear wheels. Our model boasts the six-speed manual transmission, giving us the opportunity to really get a feel for how well the super sedan responds to the driver’s input.
The standard MSRP for our CT5-V Blackwing is $89,995, but with all the options included, and the destination charge, the overall price of our super sedan is just shy of $110K.
With all that in mind, we want you to take part in our interactive review. Drop any questions you have about the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing in the comments below, and we’ll do our best to answer them as soon as we can.
