2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport Package Introduced In Mexico

The fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade launched in Mexico back in November 2020. The full-size luxury SUV has since become the most popular Cadillac model in the country, mostly as a result of a lack of inventory of XT and CT5 models. And now, Cadillac has released a new Escalade Sport Package specifically for the Mexican market further bolster sales.

Available on both the 2021 and 2022 models, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport Package includes a set of accessories for unique style and personalization. The package features a new diamond-patterned grille with a galvanized finish, monochrome front and rear Cadillac emblems, 22-inch six-split-spoke wheels with a monochrome Cadillac crest, high-performance six-piston Brembo brake calipers finished in red, along with black mirror caps, badging and tailpipes.

“To continue the launch of Cadillac Escalade, we will have an accessory kit designed to offer a more daring exterior that will allow us to expand the product proposal and enrich the portfolio options,” said Wilberto del Ángel, Cadillac Mexico Marketing Manager, in a statement translated by Cadillac Society from Spanish. “The [Sport] package provides a new product proposition that will bring out its imposing design.”

For the 2021 and 2022 model years, the Cadillac Escalade will continue to be offered exclusively in the Premium Luxury trim level for the Mexican market, meaning that the Sport trim level – which replaces chrome body accents with black counterparts for a more imposing and sinister appearance – is, for some peculiar reason, not available. The nonexistence of the Escalade Sport in Mexico has, in turn, resulted in the creation of this market-specific Sport Package for the Premium Luxury model. Though it comes close to the appearance of the Escalade Sport, there is one key difference – the daylight opening (DLO) trim, otherwise known as the window surround trim, is still finished in chrome on this model.

The interior design and other features of the full-size luxury SUV remain otherwise unchanged.

The Cadillac Escalade Sport Package is currently available for purchase via the luxury marque’s Mexican dealer network. It’s priced at 117,197 MXN (approximately $8,600 USD), not including installation.

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade starts at 2,334,900 MXN ($113,430 USD), while the Escalade ESV is priced to start at 2,468,900 MXN ($119,950 USD).
