The upcoming 2022 Cadillac XT6 Sport will offer customers extra stopping power in the form of a new Brembo brake upgrade package.
The new Brembo brake package for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 includes a set of Brembo front performance discs and red-painted brake calipers front and back. The package is standard on the Sport trim level only, and is tagged with production code J56.
The inclusion of new Brembo brakes as standard on the 2022 Cadillac XT6 provides the trim with further performance flavoring and helps it to stand apart from the rest of the lineup. Additional standard features for the XT6 Sport trim level include Chassis Damping Control, Sport Control AWD, and Performance Suspension with selectable driver modes. The XT6 Sport is also equipped with a number of performance-flavored aesthetic upgrades, such as glossy black accents, 20-inch alloy wheels, a unique front and rear fascia, body-colored door handles and tinted neutral-density taillight lenses.
As for the greasy bits, the 2022 Cadillac XT6 will continue to offer the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder (production code LSY) as the base-model powerplant, with output rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Higher in the range, the Premium Luxury and Sport are offered with the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 (production code LGX), which is rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Both engines connect to a nine-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel drive as standard, and all-wheel drive optional.
Production of the 2022 Cadillac XT6 crossover will take place in Tennessee later this year. Official pricing information has yet to be released. The 2022 XT6 will arrive as the third model year of the current first-generation vehicle.
