A New Cadillac Will Come To Market Every Six Months Starting In 2018

Cadillac has been and continues to be gearing up for a substantial product offensive, and we now know some of the details associated with the strategy.

“Starting with the launch of XT4, a new Cadillac will be brought to market every six months, a total of five car lines in the space of two years,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen at the Geneva International Motor Show.

A total of five car lines over the course of 24 months sounds like a great plan. The question now is, what are they?

We already know that two of the five models in question are crossovers to flanks the XT5 — so the compact XT4 and a large CUV, likely to be called the XT6 or XT7. Two others are likely the CT# replacements for the ATS and CTS. That leaves one model, which we will will posit is either a new B-segment (subcompact) sedan to slot below the ATS replacement or a full-sized crossover riding on the CT6’s Omega platform. And let’s not forget the updated XTS, which we don’t believe is part of the five model count referenced by Mr. de Nysschen.
