Platform
The 2022 Cadillac CT4 continues to utilize the Alpha 2 platform, otherwise written Alpha II. The Alpha 2 platform is a General Motors vehicle architecture designed to underpin compact and mid-size vehicles with a longitudinal front-engine, rear-drive configuration. The platform is a successor to the first generation Alpha architecture, or Alpha 1.
It is the same chassis the underpins the first-generation Cadillac CT5.
Production
The 2022 Cadillac CT4 is assembled by GM USA at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan, USA for the North American market.
The model is also assembled by the Cadillac China manufacturing facility, otherwise known as Cadillac Jinqiao or Shanghai-GM Jinqiao, which is located in the town of Jinqiao, Pudong, Shanghai, China.
Availability
Units of the 2022 CT4 should hit US dealer lots by the end of the 2021 calendar year.
Debut
The Cadillac CT4 made its debut as a 2020 model in the third quarter of 2019.
