Cadillac Celestiq production numbers have been a mystery, with the luxury marque keeping potential output close to the vest. But the figures were revealed in a recent interview with Vehicle Chief Engineer, Tony Roma, who disclosed that the luxury marque would hand-build a maximum of 250 units per year.
Roma confirmed the annual quota in a recent episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, which provided closer look at the ultra-luxury all-electric flagship fastback/sedan. With such limited availability, the Celestiq is set to be as exclusive as it is expensive.
“This is super low volume,” Roma tells Leno. “And in the U.S., we’ll never make more than – maybe 250 would be like the best year we’d ever make.” Those who’d like to see the interview in its entirety can do so by clicking play on the embedded video below. While we aren’t given specific figures for other markets, Roma does clarify that total Cadillac Celestiq production numbers will be in the “hundreds, not thousands.” This isn’t exactly shocking given the Celestiq’s lofty $340,000 starting price. The broad scope of customization available to customers also contributes to this limited number of units, as the facility near the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan can only manage to produce a limited quantity of these tailored, hand-built machines.
It’s also worth noting that the 250 figure provided by Roma is a maximum, not a minimum. The actual number will likely depend more on the number of orders as well as the complexity of each build. After all, the main appeal of the Celestiq is hand-crafted quality, which requires a different approach compared to mainstream vehicles that are built on conventional assembly lines.
In light of recent delays, Cadillac has now launched the Celestiq and the very first delivery took place very recently. That said, we should have more precise data regarding annual production numbers once the 2025 model year has come to a close.

The bigger question is, How many will they sell? I think 250 a year is a very aggressive number. I’d be surprised if they sold 100.

They will be sold and to ultra rich celebrities and foreigners with oil money or tech money. Good for them. As for the rest of us peasants…..Cadillac can keep them.

This car is complete and utter flop and failure. GM would have been far better off giving Cadillac a super car V8.
