Racing fans will likely have heard of the Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story documentary series hosted by actor, film maker, and motorsports enthusiast Keanu Reeves. Best known for his work in The Matrix and John Wick movie franchises, Reeves has now managed to secure an exclusive partnership with TWG Motorsports, General Motors, and with the Cadillac F1 team to produce a new docuseries that focuses on the team’s journey to the starting grid, which has been riddled with various bureaucratic obstacles.
“I’m very honored and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1 racing,” Reeves said. “Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.”
Assisting Reeves in the development and production of the series are Simon Hammerson and Neil Duncanson. The former is an Emmy-winning director and executive producer, while the latter is a three-time BAFTA-winning executive producer. Production will be carried out by KR+SH, owned by Reeves, and North One, the producers of the Brawn docuseries. The new series is currently untitled, but it’s set to air before the Cadillac F1 team’s debut at Albert Park in Melbourne in March 2026.
“General Motors and TWG Motorsports joined forces on a bold mission – to build a uniquely American Formula 1 team,” said Mark Reuss, president of Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors. “It’s a thrill to have Keanu Reeves document the Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s journey to our first season in the FIA Formula One World Championship.”
The documentary will likely include key insights about the development of the team itself, from driver selection to race car production, though the Cadillac F1 team has yet to announce its driver lineup for 2026.
Most recently, the Cadillac F1 team unveiled its official logo and announced Tommy Hilfiger as its first official brand partner.
