Custom Cadillac Guitar Car Commissioned By Elvis Presley Is Up For Grabs

If you’re a fan of Cadillac vehicles, then you probably like the finer things in life, including works of art and historical artifacts. Incidentally, a current auction is giving folks the opportunity to purchase a specimen that encompasses all three of these tasteful pursuits: Elvis Presley’s Cadillac Guitar car.

According to the seller description in the eBay listing, this piece of art on wheels was built by Jay Ohrberg, a custom car builder whose work reportedly includes KITT from Knight Rider as well as the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. Similar to the movie vehicle for Ghostbusters, the Cadillac Guitar car is based on a V8-powered Cadillac, specifically a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado propelled by an 8.2-liter V8 engine. Propelled may not be the most appropriate word to use, however, as the listing also states that this is a “non-rolling vehicle” in need of renovation and is really only suitable for “decoration.”

The seller claims that Elvis Presley pulled up to a Las Vegas concert in this bright pink chariot. That must have been quite a feat considering it’s over 492-inches (41 feet!) in length. For reference, that’s nearly 70-inches longer than two 2025 Cadillac Escalade SUVs. The idea that this machine may have been once road legal and driven by the King of Rock and Roll makes it an ideal purchase for someone who has a strong appreciation for the history of the automotive and music industries alike.

Interested parties should note that the Cadillac Guitar car is currently located in France. Even so, the auction closes in less than a day and no bids have been placed as of this writing. With an opening bid that equates to well under $12,000, an enthralled fanatic could land this art piece in their driveway without breaking the bank. Just make sure that the driveway is long enough to accommodate this king-size creation.
