Cadillac sales started the 2025 calendar year with strong double-digit growth during the first-quarter of 2025. In addition to the 18 percent growth in total deliveries, the results also included a 21 percent growth rate in retail sales and a 37 percent growth in EV sales. The results represent Cadillac’s third consecutive quarterly increase in the U.S. market, with the growth strengthening the luxury marque’s position in its home country.
Most Cadillac models were in the green during Q1 2025, led by the best-selling Cadillac Escalade. The full-size SUV had the marque’s highest growth rate, adding a significant 3,548 units compared to the same period in 2024. As such, the refreshed model has positively impacted the Escalade’s performance and strengthened its position as the most popular vehicle in the portfolio.
The Cadillac XT5, XT6 and CT5 also achieved healthy increases, further contributing to the bottom line despite the decline of the Cadillac Lyriq, which saw an interruption to its strong performance in prior months. This was likely due to the launch of the new Cadillac Optiq, which saw its first quarter of deliveries total 1,716 units, more than accounting for the 1,500 unit drop in Lyriq sales during the quarter.
It’s also worth noting that the all-new, all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ saw its first quarter of sales, adding nearly 2,000 deliveries to the bottom line.
