Earlier this year, Cadillac Society told you that Cadillac will update the XT6 three-row crossover SUV later this year in China. That moment is now upon us, with Cadillac finally pulling the covers off the 2025 Cadillac XT6 for the Chinese market. The refreshed XT6 will be shown to the general public this week at the 2024 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, or Auto Guangzhou.
The 2025 Cadillac XT6 retains the exact same design launched over five years ago with minimal changes. The changes are limited to a new blacked-out appearance package, a single six-passenger seating configuration with improved seats, a new infotainment screen, and a lower price to make it the best value in its class.
Blacked-out trim is now applied to all variants for 2025, along with new Carbon Gray multi-spoke alloy wheels and monochromatic Cadillac badges. With no other exterior tweaks, the 2025 XT6 is the most dated utility vehicle in the marque’s luxury lineup.
Inside, the 2025 Cadillac XT6 is unchanged with two exceptions. First, the infotainment screen grows in size, but we don’t have specifics about it just yet. Second, the updated XT6 will be exclusively offered in a three-row, six seat, 2+2+2 configuration. The class-exclusive, second-row executive seats now feature better upholstery, adjustable aviation-style headrests, wider armrests, and power controls, and the seats are available with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
TheChinese-market XT6 will continue to be powered by the automaker’s turbocharged 2.0L inline-four cylinder engine (production code LSY) mated to a 48V mild hybrid system, good for 250 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Production will continue to take place at the Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai.
Reservations for the refreshed 2025 Cadillac XT6 are now open via Cadillac’s website and dealer network in China, with launch set for November 15th during opening ceremonies of 2024 Auto Guangzhou. More details surrounding the 2025 Cadillac XT6 will be announced at launch.
As of this writing, we’re not aware of any plans to bring the updated XT6 to North America.

Great Job Cadillac. China gets the beautiful updated XT5, while here in the USA the “outdated” XT5 will get killed off in 2025. The really nice updated XT4 gets killed off in 2025. Why did Cadillac even bother to update it only to kill it off in two years. You can say the same thing about the XT6 as the XT5. I don’t see Cadillac electric vehicles flying off showroom floors by any means. All the Cadillac electric vehicles are much more expensive than their ICE counterparts that are getting killed off. I just don’t see this business model being successful. If it was, other “luxury” brands such as Mercedes, Lexus, Audi and BMW would be going to an “all electric” lineup….But they are not. They are listening to customers and giving them choices Cadillac will not. Our 2022 Cadillac XT5 will be our last Cadillac.

Fully agree. I guess China is more important than the US to Mary Barra.

I own a CTS and XT4, and do not plan to buy an EV. My CTS is a hotrod that I will keep, but the 2019 XT4 will get upgraded soon. Looks like no more Cadillacs for me though. Extremely disappointed in Cadillac at this point.

I live in Ohio. I drove a Corvette in my 20’s, I drove a Cadillac in my 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and now in my 70’s. I don’t give a rat’s ass about China and electric Cadillacs. Cadillac, WAKE UP, look at your sales, many people agree with this old man. I may not live long enough to buy another Cadillac, which I paid Cash for, But Cadillac may not be here either.

No one gives a damn about a guy who may be six feet under soon
