Cadillac just released a teaser for its first electric V-Series model – the 2026 Lyriq-V. What can we expect from this high-performance crossover EV? Our own Alex Luft discusses the teasers and his expectations for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V in detail on the latest Cadillac Society Podcast.

Here are some of the things we foresee for the  2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, based on what we know so far:

  • The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is an upcoming new high-performance variant of the all-electric Lyriq that will be the first V-Series EV
  • A new matte paint color option is clearly seen
  • Black accents carry over from the Sport model, but are joined by new body-colored front bumper, wheel arch moldings and rear bumper
  • A new lower door decor and rocker panel design is present and accounted for
  • Distinctive triple split-spoke wheels with a V-Series logo on one of the spokes
  • Teasers clearly show Brembo brakes; the video shows a model with Black/Gray calipers while the photos show Red calipers
    • Calipers in other colors, like Blue or Bronze, are likely
    • Calipers feature V-Series logos
  • Likely an upgraded suspension, including an adaptive damper with air ride suspension for on-demand vertical movement
  • A unique steering wheel with a V logo on the horn pad and a V mode button on the 9 o’clock spoke can clearly be seen
  • Optional carbon fiber package will be available, replacing the gloss black pieces on the front and rear fascias as well as on the side
  • Full reveal expected in early 2025

Complete specs haven’t been released yet, but Luft expects the Lyriq V to have the same 102.5 kWh battery pack as the regular Lyriq. However, the V’s dual-motor setup will likely exceed the 515 horsepower and 450 pound-feet torque in the standard Lyriq AWD model. The finaly power output may match the performance of the upcoming Blazer EV SS, which boasts 595 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
