The veil has been pulled off the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, finally revealing the highly anticipated mid-cycle refresh for the popular luxury SUV. The refresh is highlighted by a reworked front fascia, a few updates to the rear end and an overhauled cabin packed with the latest technologies, along with a small change to the powertrain lineup.
The luxury marque says that the 2025 Escalade “elevates what owners love most about the iconic luxury SUV,” borrowing design details from the ultra-luxury Cadillac Celestiq and the all-electric Cadillac Lyriq. This includes completely redesigned lighting elements, including thin upper lighting signatures and tall vertical headlight clusters on either side of the front fascia. Advanced lighting tech was “inherited from the Escalade IQ,” and just like its all-electric brethren, this includes a standard illuminated front crest, while V-Series and Premium Luxury Platinum trims feature an illuminated grille surround.
Three new colors are on offer, including Aegean Stone, a green-gray; Deep Sea Metallic, a rich metallic blue; and Latte Metallic, a light bronze hue with a metallic finish. Also new for 2024 are a set of 24-inch wheels, the largest that have ever been offered on the Escalade. The 24s are available in three designs. A host of 22-inch wheel options are also available, with the only carryover being the wheel that’s standard on the Luxury trim.
Out back, things aren’t all that different, but the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade does gain new reflectors, a new exhaust shape, and revised taillights. The taillights feature a revised smaller signature element to differentiate them from their pre-refresh brethren.
Inside, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade boasts a generous 55-inch curved interior display, similar to that of the Celestiq and Escalade IQ. This includes a 35-inch driver display accompanied by a 20-inch front passenger display. While the Escalade is in gear, the passenger display becomes invisible to the driver, allowing the front passenger to access infotainment features without fear of distracting the driver. A new steering wheel is also present, featuring two spokes and new capacity controls with feedback, along with a repositioned shifter that now takes the form of a stalk on the right of the wheel instead of a traditional center console shift lever.
The luxury SUV also boasts a Forward Command Center (FCC) screen affixed below the curved display, which allows access to HVAC/climate controls and other vehicle controls, like the new power open-and-close door function. Super Cruise is also standard along with built-in Google connectivity, while the AKG audio system handles sound. Two interior colorways are available, including Renaissance Red or Jet Black / Sheer Gray. The Second Row Executive Seating Package is also available, fitting the second row seating with myriad tech and comfort features.
Powertrain options include the standard naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87), while the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4) is found under the hood of the high-performance Escalade-V. The turbodiesel 3.0L I6 engine (production code LM2) has been deleted from the lineup, as was first reported by Cadillac Society.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade continues to ride on the T1 platform, and production will commence in late 2024 at the Cadillac Arlington plant in Texas.
