The Cadillac Society Take

The new drop in Cadillac Mexico sales during June expands the marque’s negative performance in the Latin country, where it has a limited vehicle portfolio. Though last month’s poor result represents Cadillac’s third consecutive monthly decline in the Mexican market, it also represents an improvement in volume compared to prior months, with the bottom line once again exceeding 100 deliveries.

The subpar performance in Cadillac Mexico sales during June was caused by lower volumes of the best-selling Cadillac Escalade and, above all, the even bigger drop in sales of the Cadillac XT5, which sapped 20 units from the total on a year-over-year basis. Meanwhile, sales volume of the Escalade full-size SUV continues to decline in Mexico, although it’s managed to maintain positive figures year-to-date due to gains made during the first quarter of the year.

Meanwhile, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 posted a healthy increase last month – which represented its first full month on sale in the Mexican market. With this, the XT4 is bouncing back from months of low inventory and is now projected to continue its strong pace in the coming months due to the refresh. For its part, the Cadillac Lyriq maintained flat sales of seven units, exactly the same amount it recorded in May.
