Cadillac SRX Gets Wrecked By Arkansas Cop After Traffic Stop: Video

A Cadillac SRX driver thought he could outrun the cops in his luxury crossover in Arkansas, but, unsurprisingly, it didn’t go too well for him at the end of the brief chase. Recorded on a dashcam, the SRX driver tries to make a run for it, and, manages to reocver from several attempted PIT maneuvers before finally being apprehended, at which point it was discovered that he had several varieties of drugs in his possession, which certainly explains why he took off in the first place.

According to the police report accompanying the dashcam video, the incident took place on June 6th, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m. local time. The Cadillac SRX is clocked at 86 mph in a 65 mph speed limit zone, and the officer attempts to pull the vehicle over. At first, the driver appears to comply and exits the highway, explaining to the cop that he was rushing due to family obligations. He also claims that he does not have his driver’s license on him.

Here’s where things take a turn. The officer asks the SRX driver to step out of the vehicle, but instead of following orders, the driver takes off, prompting the officer to pursue him. The Cadillac SRX cuts all its lights and drives recklessly in an attempt to get away as the cop gives chase. At one point, the driver appears to throw a bag out the window during the pursuit.

The officer attempts to disable the SRX by executing several PIT maneuvers, spinning the crossover out three times in the short chase. Twice, the SRX recovers and continues his run, but the third time, the officer succeeds in dumping the Caddy into a ditch, where it is unable to continue driving.

The driver was ultimately arrested, and a vehicle search revealed a multitude of drugs including oxycodone, Xanax, and promethazine. Unsurprisingly, the bag that the driver discarded also contained Xanax pills. The suspect was transported to Crittenden County Jail and faces charges of speeding, obstructing government operations, reckless driving, fleeing in a vehicle, tampering with physical evidence, and counts of drug possession and paraphernalia.
