2025 Lucid Gravity Crossover Debuts As Cadillac Escalade IQ Rival

A new rival to the recently-introduced 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ electric luxury SUV has charged onto the scene as the all-new 2025 Lucid Gravity has just been unveiled.

Thanks to its 900V electrical architecture and sleek profile, the 2025 Lucid Gravity is capable of an estimated 440-mile driving range on a single charge. Enabling that is a relatively insignificant drag coefficient of 0.24 thanks to its swept-back, aerodynamic exterior design. The cabin features 112 cubic feet of usable cargo space, and the electric utility vehicle has a 1,500-pound payload rating, along with the ability to haul up to 6,000 pounds.

With over 800 horsepower on tap, the 2025 Lucid Gravity can make the run from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Speaking of performance, the 2025 Lucid Gravity is capable of tackling asphalt and off-road driving scenarios alike thanks to the optional Zero Gravity air suspension package that automatically adapts to the terrain. It can also be manually adjusted to increase ride height for off-roading, or lower the vehicle for improved range on the highway.

Inside, the Gravity features Clearview Cockpit, Lucid’s user interface. This includes a 34-inch curved OLED display positioned behind the steering wheel and extending into the center stack, a setup quite similar to the current internal combustion-powered Escalade. Meanwhile, the Pilot Panel – placed below curved display – facilitates infotainment features. Software updates will be handled over-the-air (OTA). 

Comparatively, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ harnesses a two-motor eAWD configuration good for up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque with the Velocity Max drive mode activated. Not only does that allow for a zero to 60 mph time of just under 5 seconds, it can also tow up to 8,000 pounds.

Pricing for the 2025 Lucid Gravity, which will become available in late 2024, starts at under $80,000. Meanwhile, pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at $130,000, including destination and freight charges.
