Cadillac has issued a recall for certain units of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 and Cadillac XT6 luxury crossovers due to a problem with the windshield adhesive.
The problem: in affected vehicles, the windshield may not have been assembled with the proper urethane sealant required to bond the windshield to the vehicle body.
The hazards: if the windshield is not properly bonded, there is an increased risk of injury to occupants in the event of a crash.
The fix: a dealership technician will inspect the windshield of the Cadillac XT5 and XT6 and will properly apply primer and urethane if necessary. If the windshield is damaged, it will be replaced. This procedure will be performed at no cost to vehicle owners.
