Service Update Released For 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Windshield Molding Issue

A service update has been released in response to an issue with the windshield molding retainer bracket on the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.

The problem: certain units of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq have a windshield molding retainer bracket width that is above the specification.

The hazards: an improperly sized windshield molding retainer bracket can cause moisture accumulation beneath the windshield molding.

The fix: a dealership technician will inspect the width of the windshield molding retainer bracket and bend it to the proper width if necessary, as well as apply primer to the affected bends.

Affected components: windshield molding retainer bracket.

Affected vehicles: 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.

Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac did not disclose how many units of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq may be affected by this condition.

Next steps: owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Cadillac with further instructions. It’s important to note that, because this issue is a service update and not a recall, it will expire at the end of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. Customers can reach out to Cadillac using the information included below with any questions they may have.
