A service update has been released in response to an issue with the windshield molding retainer bracket on the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.
The problem: certain units of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq have a windshield molding retainer bracket width that is above the specification.
The hazards: an improperly sized windshield molding retainer bracket can cause moisture accumulation beneath the windshield molding.
The fix: a dealership technician will inspect the width of the windshield molding retainer bracket and bend it to the proper width if necessary, as well as apply primer to the affected bends.
Affected components: windshield molding retainer bracket.
Affected vehicles: 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.
Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac did not disclose how many units of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq may be affected by this condition.
