The current Cadillac CT5 launched for the 2020 model year, and since then, the luxury sedan has seen only minor changes and updates outside the addition of the ultra-high-performance Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing to the lineup for the 2022 model year. Now, Cadillac Society has learned a few important details about the CT5 refresh for the 2024 model year.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the front end of the 2024 Cadillac CT5 will be redesigned. The luxury sedan will sport a set of new headlights along with some slight alterations to the front fascia. The lower grille treatment will be modified as well, doing away with the “semi-smiley” design element on the current model.
There won’t be any changes to the luxury sedan’s greenhouse, including to the C-pillar “kink” that found some controversy upon the CT5’s reveal and launch. Specifically, the stepped design of the C-pillar garnered criticism, leaving enthusiasts to wonder why Cadillac elected to leave a cheap-looking plastic triangle shape right behind the rear passenger doors, as reported by our sister publication GM Authority. However, it seems the luxury marque is fond of this treatment and will leave it in place for the forthcoming mid-cycle refresh.
The rear end of the vehicle is expected to stay the same, although the vehicle team did consider installing a new set of graphics in the taillamps. However, at this time, it’s unclear if these taillamp graphics will end up making it to the production model.
The big news about the 2024 Cadillac CT5 will be its overhauled cockpit. The CT5 will get a wide screen that spans both the instrument cluster and infotainment screen, and in turn, the center stack will be revised in order to accommodate this screen. This update will be similar to what we’ll see in the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4.
