Cadillac has issued a Service Update for certain units of the 2022 Cadillac XT4 to address an issue with the Parking Assist telltale lights.
The problem: the colored visual telltale lights that illuminate during parking assist on the Driver Information Center may not illuminate with red, orange or yellow lights as the vehicle approaches an object in its path.
The hazards: if the telltale lamps do not illuminate to alert the driver while parking, the driver may be unaware of an object in the vehicle’s path, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: dealerships will perform a Configuration and Setup procedure on the Instrument Cluster of the 2022 Cadillac XT4. This procedure will be performed at no cost to the vehicle owner.
Affected components:
- Driver Information Center
- Instrument cluster
- Parking Assist telltale lights
Affected vehicles: 2022 Cadillac XT4
Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac has not indicated how many individual units of the 2022 Cadillac XT4 are affected by this issue.
