The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is currently unavailable to order with either the Radiant Package or Onyx package due to supplier issues, Cadillac Society has learned.
Both the Radiant Package and Onyx Package included various exterior aesthetic add-ons that include unique trim and cosmetic features. The Onyx Package (production code PDB) is an LPO-level option, indicating it is installed at the dealer rather than at the factory. Features of the Onyx Package for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade are as follows (relevant production codes in parentheses):
When available, the Onyx Package is offered on the Escalade Sport for $2,510, or on the Escalade Sport Platinum for $2,375.
The Radiant Package (production code PDV) is also an LPO-level option. The Radiant Package for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade includes the following features (relevant production codes in parentheses):
When available, the Radiant Package can be ordered for the Escalade Premium Luxury trim level, where it costs $3,910, or on the Premium Luxury Platinum trim level where it costs $3,775.
At the time of this writing, it is not clear when the Onyx Package and Radiant Package will become available to order on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade again, but our sources indicate that the packages aren’t available due to a constraint of the wheels included in both packages. It’s worth noting that both wheel sets were previously unavailable during the 2021 calendar year.
The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is the second model year of the luxury SUV’s fifth generation and offers two engine options. The first is the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87), capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The second is the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (production code LM2), rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options bolt to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission.
