There’s Only One Way To Get Light Headliner In Fifth-Gen Cadillac Escalade

Most of the interior color combinations available for the fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade equip the luxury SUV with a dark-colored headliner. Problem is, some customers prefer a brighter interior, which can be accomplished via a light headliner. Luckily, there is one colorway that grants the Escalade just that.

The only way to get a light headliner in the 2021 and 2022 Cadillac Escalade is to order the Whisper Beige with Gideon accents interior color combination (production code H0D). This colorway features a light-hued interior, including the headliner, as well as full leather seats with semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, mini-chevron perforated inserts, and classy Linear Marquetry wood trim.

The Whisper Beige with Gideon accents colorway is only available on units of the fifth-generation (2021 and newer) Cadillac Escalade in the Premium Luxury Platinum or Sport Platinum trim levels. While ordering this interior color combination is currently the only possible way to get a light headliner in 2021 and 2022 model year Escalades, the availability of the feature could change for future iterations of the luxury SUV.

The Cadillac Escalade received a complete overhaul (redesign and re-engineering)  for the 2021 model year, ushering in the luxury SUV’s fifth generation. The most noteworthy change is the new exterior design, identifiable by bold, new front fascia. The fifth-generation model also features a myriad of updates to its interior, including an impressive 38-inch curved OLED display comprised of three individual screens integrated into the center stack and gauge cluster.

Currently, the Escalade offers two engine choices. The naturally-aspirated 6.2L V8 (production code L87) is standard, and is rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Also available is the turbodiesel 3.0L I6 (production code LM2), capable of 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The boosted diesel mill recently resumed production after a short hiatus due to supplier constraints. Power is delivered to either the rear two wheels or all four wheels by way of Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission.
