Just yesterday, Cadillac Society brought you information and specs on the upcoming Cadillac XT5 limousine, and now, we have the inside scoop on another Caddy-branded Professional Vehicle, the Cadillac XT5 hearse.
The upcoming Cadillac XT5 hearse is nearly identical to the upcoming Cadillac XT5 limousine with regard to features and specs. This includes the powertrain, with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 gasoline engine (production code LSY) found under the hood. The engine sends output to the front wheels as standard and all four wheels as an available option, with a nine-speed automatic transmission handling the cog swaps.
The interior spec comes standard with Jet Black upholstery and leatherette for the seats, plus an eight-way power driver seat adjuster. There’s also standard heating for the front seats, dual-zone climate control, and an eight-inch touchscreen, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The one point of departure between the Cadillac XT5 hearse and XT5 limousine is in back, where the limousine offers a 60/40 sliding and reclining second-row seat, and the hearse does not.
Outside, however, both the limo and the hearse come equipped with 18-inch 6-Split Spoke Alloy wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish, plus LED headlamps with IntelliBeam and a power liftgate. Available colors include:
- Satin Steel Metallic
- Wilder Metallic
- Stellar Black Metallic
- Crystal White Tricoat
- Dark Moon Blue Metallic
- Infrared Tintcoat
- Shadow Metallic
- Garnet Metallic
On the infotainment front, the Cadillac XT5 hears comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM with 360L, and a Bose eight-speaker stereo. There’s also a long list of safety features, including Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Safety Alert Seat, and Front and Rear Park Assist.
The new Cadillac XT5 hearse and limousine will be Cadillac’s latest Professional Vehicles, indirectly replacing the Cadillac XTS Professional Vehicles following the latter’s discontinuation with the “regular” XTS. It’s believed that the new XT5 vehicles will be delivered to upfitters with an extended wheelbase, although that has yet to be confirmed.
