Photos: 2021 Cadillac Escalade With Onyx Package

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade brings a fresh fifth generation for the iconic SUV nameplate, ushering in a ground-up overhaul that includes bold new exterior styling. Now, we’re checking out the 2021 Cadillac Escalade with the Onyx Package styling upgrade installed.

For those that don’t know, the Onyx Package adds a host of black-out theme aesthetic pieces to the 2021 Cadillac Escalade, and is available on Sport and Sport Platinum trim levels.

This particular example is a Sport Platinum trim, and matches the dark Onyx Package with Black Raven paint, making for a black-out one-two punch.

Up front, we find the tight Sport grille insert with a black finish, which is enhanced with a Monochrome Cadillac emblem in silver, courtesy of the Onyx Package.

The look continues into the profile, where the corners are occupied by 22-inch 12-spoke Gloss Black finish alloy wheels, also added as part of the Onyx Package. The Sport trim includes a black finish for the window trim (otherwise known as DLO, or daylight opening), while the Onyx Package upgrades the sideview mirrors with puddle lamps that project the Cadillac crest onto the pavement.

Final details include a Gloss Black Escalade nameplate and a Monochrome Cadillac emblem for the rear, both of which are included with the Onyx Package.

For fans of the black-out styling theme that is so popular throughout the automotive industry these days, the combo seen on this 2021 Cadillac Escalade is definitely a winner.

This particular 2021 Cadillac Escalade stickers for a bit north of $100,000. Under the hood, the SUV draws motivation from the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 (production code L87) gasoline engine, which produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Customers can also go for the turbodiesel 3.0L I6 (production code LM2), which produces 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options connect to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
