2021 Cadillac XT4 Price Rises Slightly Compared To 2020 Model

A pricing analysis performed by Cadillac Society reveals that the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the 2021 Cadillac XT4 is slightly higher than it was for the 2020 model year of the compact luxury crossover. The difference is quite small, totaling an average of $100 or 0.25 percent, and is caused by increases in the starting price points of Luxury and Sport models.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the entry-level 2021 Cadillac XT4 Luxury 350T has risen by $100 from $36,690 to $36,790 for the front-wheel drive model and from $39,190 to $39,290 for the all-wheel drive model. The XT4 Sport 350T sees a $200 increase, with starting prices increasing from $40,790 to $40,990 (FWD) and from $43,290 to $43,490 (AWD).

Sport 350T $43,490 $43,290 +$200 +0.46%
Average $40,773 $40,673 +$100 +0.25%

However, the price of the 2021 XT4 Premium Luxury 350T remains unchanged from 2020 at $40,790 (FWD) and $43,290 (AWD). The average price increase for the 2021 Cadillac XT4 range as a whole is therefore $100.

The Cadillac XT4 went on sale in 2018 as a 2019 model year vehicle. Cadillac made several minor changes for the 2021 model year in the U.S., the most significant of which was the introduction of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the Luxury trim’s manual liftgate was replaced by a power liftgate, bringing the Luxury in line with the other cars in the range.

In the U.S., XT4 has only ever been available with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 gasoline engine (production code LSY) rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet and paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

In Europe, however, the XT4 is offered exclusively in 350D form with a turbocharged 2.0L I4 diesel (production code LSQ) with 174 horsepower and 281 pound-feet. Badged as the 350D, the European XT4 was developed with a diesel engine due to the popularity of diesel-engined vehicles in that region, but was launched at around the time when registrations of diesel cars in Europe started to decline below those of EVs for the first time in history.
