2021 Cadillac Escalade Hitting Dealerships

SUV buyers anxiously waiting for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade will be happy to learn that the first customer-bound units of the all-new luxury vehicle are now arriving in dealerships.

Some Caddy dealers have received their first units of the latest Escalade, which means new customers will finally be able to bring the big SUV home.

Production of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade has been ongoing, with the very first units rolling off the line slated for training, demonstration, and final testing purposes, as Cadillac Society has reported previously. However, with the start of regular production (SORP) now underway, customer-bound units are heading out to dealers.

As Cadillac Society was the first to report, models equipped with the new 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine option (production code LM2) will go into production slightly after SORP. The same is true for SUVs equipped with the new Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving feature. Models equipped with Super Cruise will enable drivers to remove their hands from the steering wheel during extended highway driving.

Pricing for the entry-level Luxury trim starts at $77,490, while the extended-length 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV starts at $80,490. Slotting above the Luxury trim is the Premium Luxury trim and Sport trim, conforming to Cadillac’s latest Y-trim level strategy.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade ushers in the nameplate’s latest fifth-generation, riding on the new T1 platform featuring an independent rear suspension design. Customers have the option of adding Magnetic Ride Control with Adaptive Air Ride suspension. Standard spec includes the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 (production code L87), while the turbodiesel six-cylinder mentioned above is a no-cost option. Both engines mate to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Inside the cabin, the redesigned 2021 Cadillac Escalade features a 38-inch curved OLED infotainment display on top of the dash, while AKG provides the audio equipment, including an optional 36-speaker system with studio quality sound production.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is manufactured in Arlington, Texas.
