2021 Cadillac CT5 Sport Gets New V Performance Package

A new V Performance Package (production code Y43) will be offered on the 2021 Cadillac CT5 Sport, helping to bridge the gap to the performance-minded CT5-V model.

Included in the 2021 Cadillac CT5 Sport V Performance Package will be the latest Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 dampers (production code F55), Performance Suspension (production code FE3) and an electronic limited-slip differential (production code G96). To equip this package on a CT5 Sport, the customer must also select the optional Brembo V Performance Brakes (production code J56). The package is also only available on the rear-wheel-drive CT5 Sport and cannot be added to models with all-wheel-drive.

This package adds some of the most important performance equipment from the Cadillac CT5-V to the less powerful Cadillac CT5 Sport. With the same fourth-generation Magnetic Ride Control dampers, performance-tuned suspension and electronic limited-slip differential as the CT5-V, the V Performance Package will be aimed at buyers who want better handling performance from their CT5 Sport but do not see the need to upgrade to the more expensive dedicated performance model.

The Cadillac CT5 Sport is set apart from the base-level Luxury and opulently appointed Premium Luxury models by its unique front and rear fasciae, gloss black exterior trim, and 19-inch alloy wheels among other sporty treatments. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine (production code LSY) producing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 (production code LGY) is optional, making an impressive 335 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The CT5-V uses the same 3.0L V6 but makes 360 horsepower rather than 335 horsepower.

More information on the 2021 Cadillac CT5 Sport model with the available V Performance Package, including how much this new option group will add to the price of the sport sedan, should become available in the coming months.
