The luxury D-sedan segment saw cumulative sales slid 34 percent to 45,719 units during the quarter.
The Cadillac CT5 was outsold by most rivals during the second quarter of 2020. We attribute the circumstance to issues brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus prevented Cadillac dealers from having an optimal inventory mix, while also preventing consumers from visiting dealerships to purchase a vehicle. Additionally, the virus may have also pushed some consumers to delay or purchases they would have otherwise made.
It’s also worth noting that 2,575 CT5 deliveries in Q2 were lower than the 3,000 sales in Q1 2020, again as a result of the aforementioned pandemic.
We expect Cadillac CT5 sales to increase substantially in the coming quarters as inventory as well as consumer awareness of the model reach healthier levels. This should substantially improve the CT5’s segment performance.
One of four new colors for the 2025 model year.
And it now represents the best value in its segment.
A curious sighting from a video of the Cadillac design studio.
