Earlier this week, we covered a video in which Cadillac Live, the automaker’s streaming-based sales service, gave us a tour around the new Cadillac CT4 Sport sedan. That video gave us a pretty good idea of what it was like to call into the service and shop for a compact luxury sedan, so let’s see how Cadillac Live promotes one of the brand’s crossover products – specifically the Cadillac XT4.
To recap, Cadillac Live is essentially an online-only showroom that Cadillac operates. Customers can book an appointment with a Cadillac Live representative online, who will be located in a studio somewhere that has been designed to resemble a Cadillac showroom. Equipped with a headset, phone and gimbal, the representative can show the viewer around the car, demonstrate its various features and answer any questions they may have. The stream is one-way only, so the viewer will be able to see the Cadillac Live rep, but not the other way around.
As we can see in the video embedded below, Cadillac Live reps are a lot like a normal dealership sales representative. They can explain what engines a car is available with, what colors it’s offered in, demonstrate its features and more. The phone gimbal they are equipped with also allows them to provide the customer on the end of the stream with a close-up view of the interior and other details they want a better look at.
Some readers will know the XT4 is only offered with one engine, a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine (production code LSY) rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels, though all-wheel-drive is also available as an option. The version of the crossover seen in the Cadillac Live clip here is a Sport trim, which means it gets gloss black mesh grille, unique 20-inch wheels, gloss black window surround trim and clear grey taillamp lenses.
Allow Cadillac Live to provide a tour of the 2020 Cadillac XT4 crossover in the video embedded below. As a reminder, Cadillac Live sessions can be booked at any time via the automaker’s website.
