Having made its global debut at a special media event in Beverly Hills in February, the very first units of the all-new 2021 Cadillac Escalade will go into production in June. Cadillac Society has been here every step of the way to tell you all about the new luxury SUV, including being the first to report on its pricing structure, how much it can tow, its fuel economy, how much SuperCruise will cost, the various colors on offer, plus various packages. Now, we’re back with another exclusive to tell you about the 2021 Cadillac Escalade grille options.
The 2021 Escalade will be offered with three distinct grilles, which is great. But as of this writing, Cadillac has only shown off the 2021 Escalade with two grilles – a shiny one with chrome slats and a black one with “shield” pattern for Sport models, as shown in the picture above. That made us wonder what the third grille option is. After a bit of digging, we have come to find what’s going on.

As it turns out, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade grille with the horizontal chrome slats is reserved specifically for the Premium Luxury Platinum model. Meanwhile, the piano Black grille is for Sport and Sport Platinum models. Finally, the Luxury (base) and Premium Luxury models will get the third grille option, which we haven’t seen before. Luckily, we were able to get our hands on one photo that shows how that grille looks like.

Understanding the 2021 Cadillac Escalade grille patterns will be very helpful in identifying the Escalade model/trim level, whether on the road or on the dealer lot.

The Escalade Sport Platinum should have a different sport grill from the standard sport grill just like Premium Luxury Platinum. The Sport and Sport Platinum will be hard to tell.

Give the sport version its own blacked-out Platinum Grill like Premium Luxury Platinum. I want to be noticed that I have a top of the trim Escalade for Sport Platinum different from the Sport trim.
