Photos showing the exterior of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade have leaked online well ahead of the SUV’s anticipated debut early next year.
The leaked photos show off the next-generation luxury SUV’s new front fascia, along with its side profile. The front end is particularly interesting, featuring a large front grille and narrow LED headlights that remind us of those on the Cadillac XT6 crossover. Two large, vertically-mounted LED light strips can also be seen underneath each of the headlights and appear to extend into a separate, lower grille section.
The photo showing off the vehicle’s side profile reveals an abundance of chrome, including chrome window trim, a chrome c-pillar and a chrome trim piece that runs along the bottom of the front and rear doors. We also see large chrome wheels, which appear to be about 22-inches in dimeter, chrome mirror caps and chrome roof rails.
These photos appear to have been taken at the Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, where the new 2021 Cadillac Escalade is set to go into production in 2020. The leaker didn’t snap any photos of the SUV’s interior, but Cadillac Society photographers previously snuck their cameras into the cabin of an Escalade test vehicle, revealing a wide, dual-screen gauge cluster/infotainment display, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, an Electronic Precision Shift gear selector and wood grain center console trim.
The next-generation Cadillac Escalade is expected to spawn a high-performance variant, which may feature a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine, along with a battery electric variant that will have up to 400 miles of driving range. The vehicle pictured in these leaked photos appears to be a standard 2021 Cadillac Escalade, though its large chrome wheels and abundance of chrome trim suggests it could be a well-equipped Platinum model.
Stay tuned for more information on the next-generation Cadillac Escalade between now and its expected debut in Q1 2020.
