ParticipantI checked with Cadillac, they want over $300 for their spare tire caddy made out of foam board. I think I will just line this area with sound deadener and put my spare tire, which I got a good deal on from private seller, in it without the caddy version. I am due for a new set of tires, anyone know what the quietest ones would be?? Cadillac says Mitchelle but I don’t believe it bc that’s what it all ready has and they aren’t quiet.

ParticipantI haven’t changed my tires yet and kept the XT5 bc car prices are crazy right now. I will insulate the place where the spare tire goes as mine doesn’t have one, and see if this helps. thanks for the info. I have a spare I bought from a neighbor for $50 and called parts to order the molded stuff that it fits in and its over $300 for a piece of molded foam, not going to pay that much for it. I’ll make my own foam tire holder 🙂 thanks but no thanks Cadillac!!!

ParticipantOl Red, did you ever replace your tires and if so did it help?

ParticipantI have a 2019 XT5 and above 60 the tire noise inside is extremely loud. This is why I am getting rid of it for a Lincoln or Edge. I previously had an Edge Sport with low profile Pirelli tires and it was MUCH quieter than this XT5. Lincoln has much better sound proofing than Cadillac and I do not understand why they won’t make this a better product for the money this seems ridiculous.

ParticipantIf you plug the auto stop/start disabler in does it void the warranty in any way?
