Thanks for the comment Creeduser44. To be honest, after following this blog for the last 32 weeks and reading about some of the issues associated with the 2021, I think waiting for the 2022 makes sense. Further, my dealer (also my neighbor) has advised that the 2022’s will have additional safety features. Having said this, I truly hope that I am not sitting here in June 2022 saying waiting was a mistake. Good luck on your end.
September 3, 2021 at 8:24 pm #82821Creeduser44ParticipantUpdate: my dealer told me today that the 2021 orders were cancelled, but that mine got transferred to the 2022. She said I did not lose my place in line and 2nd in line for this dealer queue to get one. Fortunately, I went through a large dealer. I am hoping by Thanksgiving.

From what I have been told and also from what I have read; the 2022’s go into production on October 4th. Now, having said this, I have been frustrated with miss-information from Cadillac over the last 30 weeks, so I can only hope this remains true. One day we will finally be able to say; I got mine! Good luck to you going forward.
September 27, 2021 at 8:24 pm #82977dawnie11952ParticipantHi All, we ordered a Sport diesel 2021 back in July, we were told 2 weeks ago it will now be a 2022. I called our dealer today to see if they had an idea as to when we could expect a delivery and they told me it may not even be this year? Anyone else heard this? So frustrating that we may rethink buying something else, don’t really want to do that but if it’s going to be well into next year we may have too.
September 28, 2021 at 7:24 am #82982Creeduser44ParticipantI ordered mine in Jan and was told it is now a 2022. They could not give me a timeline as to when I would get it, only that mine would be the second ESV they get at the dealer when they start rolling out. The diesel is just being rolled out so your dealer might be right that it would come new year.:(
September 28, 2021 at 10:38 am #82983ParticipantParticipantGreetings; Jeff from Pittsburgh. I ordered mine in February and on August 16th it was converted to a 2022. The 2022’s go into production on October 6th. Considering everything, unless your’s has officially been accepted as a build, it won’t happen. The key thing is to make sure your dealer has officially placed the order for the 2022 as this does not happen automatically by Cadillac. For sure, many have been frustrated by all of this. But, if you have been following the reviews for the 2021’s, I think Cadillac needed some time to work through some initial concerns. A 2022 might be the best way to go.
September 30, 2021 at 9:32 am #83020super781ParticipantMy platinum sport has been scheduled to arrive since 9/23 now they say another week! What takes so long to get it to the dealer:( I was so happy to think it got accepted and built and now I can’t seem to get my hands on it!
October 3, 2021 at 7:43 pm #83067Creeduser44ParticipantThey just eliminated supercruise pretty bummed since I had it on my 21’ order. At this point it seems like a crapshoot what you might end up with.

October 14, 2021 at 2:04 pm #83192NECADDYParticipantI put $2500 down on a sport platinum esv in May, in August I asked dealer when the 22’s were coming out he said they stop taking 21 orders in August. With that being said I said to cancel my 21 which had not even been accepted by Caddy yet! UGH! The dealer called me the other day and said that I could order a 22 now and have by maybe Dec. without supercruise without wireless cell phone charger without this without that and FYI I noticed no adjustable pedals like my 2016 Escalade had, my 2016 also went thru 2 trannys, 2 radiators and all the shocks and struts, 3 xm radio antennas all of this except the struts was under warranty? It seems like you are getting waaaay less for more $$$! I asked about the escalade v series and they had no info on it. Yesterday I bought a Grand Wagoneer series iii supposed to have it end of Nov. I checked off all the boxes of which there are only like 3-4 options because they come pretty loaded. Fingers crossed it looks like a really nice pc. If this rig is what I think it is, they are coming out with the longer wheelbase version in late 22 I guess I will order one of those, hopefully with a hellcat in it! I have been a GM guy my whole life but feel its time for a change. Just my .02

September 15, 2022 at 1:49 pm #92993drjmsrxParticipantI ordered a Cadillac Escalade DIESEL in September of 2021. Sport I believe (my husband ordered). It is now Sept 2022 so a year and they are telling me it is the diesel engine problem and they have no idea could take another 6 months! Ridiculous! I do not have 6 months! Anyone have diesel issues or any idea how long it may take if you got a diesel? My current car is about to run out of warranty and I need to trade it in and it is costing me $2600 in service costs bc it is a Land Rover and I need to get rid of it ASAP. I NEED MY CAR! This is INSANE! My husband ordered a Tahoe in Diesel also GM so I don’t get this and got it in 4 months….what is going on!? HELP!
