Updated 2025 Cadillac XT6 Launches In China

2025 Cadillac XT6 - China

The kinda-sorta refreshed 2025 Cadillac XT6 made its official debut in China in November, and has now launched in the Asian country with a handful of improvements and updated pricing.

We say kinda-sorta purely because we wouldn’t really call this a refresh, but more of a rolling update. Regardless, the Chinese-market 2025 Cadillac XT6 lineup is comprised of three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum. The latter two feature blacked-out exterior trim that, surprisingly, is not part of a Sport trim, which isn’t offered in China.

All 2025 XT6 variants feature the same three-row, six-seat layout in a 2+2+2 configuration. The middle row features a new set of executive seats with power adjustments (with six-way adjustable headrests), two-section armrests, a massage function, plus heating and ventilation. There’s also a new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster as well as a larger, 10-inch infotainment touchscreen within the center stack.

A color head-up display, 22 active safety features, a 360-degree surround-view camera, Night Vision, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance sound system are standout features that carry over from before.

Starting prices for the updated 2025 Cadillac XT6 are as follows in China:

  • Luxury: 349,900 yuan (about $48,290 USD at current exchange rates)
  • Premium Luxury: 369,900 yuan ($51,050 USD)
  • Platinum: 409,900 yuan ($56,570 USD)

Cadillac claims the updates and the starting prices make the XT6 the best value in its class.

The 2025 Cadillac XT6 is now available for sale at the marque’s dealer network in China. The model continues to use the familiar turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY) engine mated to Caddy’s nine-speed transmission. Domestic units are manufactured exclusively at the SAIC Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai.

Before you ask, we have not heard a peep about these updates making their way to North America.

  1. Meanwhile GM sales are tanking in China due to China’s government offering discounts to thier own electric cars. Cadillac can’t even offer ice and electric cars side by side like their competitors.

      • Yes, but importing it would be a project and a half… and then getting it to pass emissions would be another one.

  2. I buy my Cadillacs in America like I have for over 40 years.
I am the Cadillac Man who pays dollars for my Cadillacs.
I don’t know how many Cadillac owners are interested in
Cadillacs in China, Syria, Iraq, Poland, or Ethiopia.
According to available data, Cadillac is estimated to lose a significant amount on each EV they sell, with some reports suggesting a loss of around $36,000 per vehicle based on the depreciation rate of a Cadillac Lyriq over a five-year period, which is considered a substantial loss for the company. Cadillac better figure out, And Fast, do customers want EV’s and if Cadillac is losing about $36,000 per vehicle, Cadillac will join Packard, Hudson, and Pierce Arrow. Food for thought Mary Barra, If you are making north of $27.8 million in compensation, and you are losing GM $36,000 per vehicle. Cancel the move to the new GM digs and stay in the Renaissance Center until GM files for Chapter 11. There are no more bailouts for the auto industry.

  3. I love my 2024 Cadillac XT6, but I think it should be updated with the same exterior styling as the China only XT5 and sold in the US. I also think the new China only XT5 and CT6 should also be sold in the US. Cadillac’s China first strategy will eventually bite them on the ass.
