Check Out The Most Popular Cadillac CT6-V Paint Colors

The Cadillac CT6-V  was the highest-performing variant in the CT6 luxury sedan range. It was produced in extremely limited quantities, making it a rare sight. Produced only for the 2019 and 2020 model years, the CT6-V was offered with a choice of five exterior colors, and today, Cadillac Society is bringing you exclusive information about the most (and least) popular hues for the high-performance luxury sedan.

By far, the most popular Cadillac CT6-V color across both model years was Black Raven (production code GBA). For 2019, 45.2 percent or 228 units of the CT6-V were painted black. For the 2020 model year, 49.1 percent or 202 units were painted black. The least popular color for both model years was Red Horizon Tintcoat (paint code GPJ), decorating just five percent or 25 units of the 2019 CT6-V, and 5.6 percent or 23 units of 2020 model year units.

2019 Cadillac CT6-V

  • Black Raven (GBA): 45.2% (228 units)
  • Manhattan Noir Metallic (GCI): 23.2% (117)
  • Crystal White Tricoat (G1W): 18.1% (91)
  • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K): 8.5% (43)
  • Red Horizon Tintcoat (GPJ): 5% (25)

2020 Cadillac CT6-V

  • Black Raven (GBA): 49.1% (202 units)
  • Crystal White Tricoat (G1W): 21.9% (86)
  • Manhattan Noir Metallic (GCI): 14.4% (59)
  • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K): 9% (37)
  • Red Horizon Tintcoat (GPJ): 5.6% (23)

As a reminder, the Cadillac CT6-V harnessed the twin-turbocharged 4.2L V8 Cadillac Blackwing engine (production code LTA), which was rated at a healthy 550 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. That engine featured a dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) configuration, an aluminum cylinder block, a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, aluminum pistons and a “hot vee” setup. It was the first Cadillac engine to feature a DOHC layout since the Northstar, making it a standout powerhouse in Cadillac’s lineup.

As Cadillac Society exclusively reported, just 1,200 units of the CT6 with the Cadillac Blackwing engine were produced. The engine, which was also optional on the CT6 Platinum, was packed under the hoods of 915 units of the Cadillac CT6-V before it was discontinued.
