One of the biggest concerns that many buyers have when considering an electric vehicle has to do with its driving range from a single charge, a phenomenon often known as range anxiety. Fortunately for customers interested in the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq, the luxury electric crossover offers a slight improvement in range compared to the 2024 model.
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq rear-wheel-drive (RWD) gets a revised range rating that bumps it from 314 miles to 326 miles. The Lyriq all-wheel-drive (AWD) improves from 307 miles to 319 miles on a full charge, but that’s only for models with the 19.2 kW on-board charger, while models with the 11.5 kW on-board charger only get 303 miles. The 19.2 kW onboard charger is a $1,480 extra on Luxury 2, Sport 2, Luxury 3, and Sport 3 models; it is not offered at all on the base Luxury 1 or Sport 1 trims.

“All-wheel drive Lyriqs equipped with the 19.2KW charger are exclusively higher trim level vehicles, which are heavier on average because of their standard and available features,” a Cadillac spokesperson said. “This equipment mass difference factors into how the EPA calculates range estimates.”
The 2025 Lyriq is also more powerful than its predecessors, featuring more horsepower than the 2024 model. The RWD variant is now rated at 365 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the AWD setup comes in at 515 total system horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Those figures represent increases of 25 horsepower and 15 horsepower, respectively.
Other notable updates for the luxury electric crossover include the deletion of the Tech trim, which was formerly the base or entry level model in the lineup. It also gets the memory front passenger seat (production code A44), which is standard across all remaining trim levels, along with the optional Bronze, Blue, and Red Accent Packages. The 2025 Lyriq also gains 100 more colors for its interior ambient lighting feature. Despite all the additions, the 2025 Lyriq uses 24 percent fewer parts than its 2024 model year predecessor.
Production of the Cadillac Lyriq takes place at the Cadillac Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for North American markets. Pricing starts at $59,990, including destination freight charges.
