There are few cars that wear the color pink better than a Caddy. In fact, the combination is so iconic that it gets its own U.S. holiday. September 1st is set aside for Pink Cadillac Day, and this year, it just happens to coincide with the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) race at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. To celebrate, the Cadillac V-Series.R race car will wear a pink livery at the race.
Cadillac Racing and Cadillac Design collaborated on the head-turning fuscia-and-black wrap. Up front, the race car’s hood and front end are pink, bleeding into black graphics along the doors that create a sense of forward motion even while the vehicle is standing still. The race car’s rear end is blacked out, right down to its spoiler and rear fin. It also sports a stylized No. 2 just behind the front wheels, lifted straight from the famous Le Monstre race car that tackled Le Mans in 1950.
The pretty-in-pink Cadillac V-Series.R will be on display in the Cadillac display at the Lone Star Le Mans at COTA, which will take place from August 30th through September 1st, 2024.
Fans who can’t get to the racetrack to see the pink V-Series.R in person have another opportunity to see – and even drive – the special race car, albeit in the digital realm. Cadillac collaborated with Forza, a popular simulation racing video game franchise available on Xbox and PC, to make the pink V-Series.R available in-game.
Fans can log in beginning August 30th to download the livery and add it to their virtual fleets, exclusively for Forza Motorsport. In fact, the V-Series.R is the cover vehicle for the latest installment in the Forza series.
