The future of the Onyx and Onyx Lite packages on the 2025 Cadillac XT5 has been a bit murky. At first, Cadillac Society learned that the Onyx Package would be deleted from the XT5 Sport and instead be offered on the XT5 Luxury instead, but the luxury marque reversed this decision and subsequently removed it from the Luxury trim. Now, the Onyx and Onyx Lite packages have been nixed altogether and are no longer available whatsoever on the 2025 XT5.
Previously, the Onyx Package was offered on the Premium Luxury and Sport trims as a $4,995 option, while the Onyx Lite Package was offered on the same trims for $3,895. Though there’s nothing official from Cadillac about the reason these packages were deleted from the XT5 lineup, we suspect it’s part of the typical process of winding down a vehicle, as the 2025 model year is expected to be the XT5’s last in North America.

Customers interested in the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels can still acquire them as part of the Blue Accent Package (production code PDL), Red Accent Package (production code PDK), or Bronze Accent Package (production code PDJ). They are also available as a standalone option for $2,560.
It’s important to note that the 2025 XT5 is not the all-new second-generation model, which will be offered in China. We are not aware of any plans to bring the next-gen model stateside at this time.
