Fix Released For 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Storage Tray

A Customer Satisfaction Program has been released to address an issue with the storage tray in certain units of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq.

Tagged N232428240, the bulletin only concerns the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq. In affected vehicles, the instrument panel center storage compartment, which is positioned below the HVAC control panel, does not function correctly. While the bulletin fails to specify the issue, some Cadillac Lyriq owners have pointed out to Cadillac Society and on social media that the storage tray in their vehicle does not sit flush when closed.

Thankfully, the fix is relatively simple. A dealership technician will replace the instrument panel storage tray. The procedure will be performed free of charge, and is expected to take less than half an hour. Note that this Customer Satisfaction Program will run through March 31st, 2026. It’s currently unclear how many units of the Cadillac Lyriq may be affected by the storage tray issue.

As a reminder, the Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for all markets except for China. The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq can be outfitted with either a single Ultium Drive motor on the rear axle or opt to add a second Ultium Drive motor to the front axle, granting all-wheel-drive.

Rear-wheel-drive boasts an approximate driving range of 308 miles from a single charge, delivering 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Selecting all-wheel-drive grants 307 miles of driving range per charge, along with a much more potent 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.
