Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, has issued a recall for certain units of the 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT6 crossover utility vehicle in response to an issue related to the rearview camera.
The problem: the rearview camera coaxial cable connectors may not be properly secured in affected units of the XT6, which may cause the rearview camera to fail or function intermittently.
The hazards: if the rearview camera is not functioning properly, the risk of experiencing a rear collision is increased.
The fix: a dealership technician will replace the rearview camera coaxial cables. This service will be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner.
Affected vehicles:
- 2020 Cadillac XT6
- 2021 Cadillac XT6
Number of affected vehicles: Cadillac nor GM have not indicated how many units of the 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT6 may be affected by this condition. It’s important to note that this issue may also affect certain units of the 2020 and 2021 Cadillac XT5.
