Inkas Armored Vehicle Manufacturing recently announced its armored fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade. Boasting BR6-level armor and a custom interior, this Escalade is sure to satisfy the needs and demands of any VIP in need of secure, ultra-luxurious transport.
Inside, the Cadillac Escalade Chairman VIP Edition features a high-end leather interior with comfortable captain chair seating that have temperature controls and massage functions, along with custom pattern stitching for a rich, opulent feel throughout the cabin. The special armored Escalade’s roof has been raised five inches, opening up the interior even more, and enhancing the lighted ceiling that’s designed to mimic natural lighting. A 19-speaker system is placed throughout the cabin for a premium sound experience and crisp visual displays.
Other highlights include an automated driver partition for added security and privacy, along with a hideaway TV and power-folding tables, all of which can be controlled from the seats.
The CEN 1063 BR6-level armor on the Cadillac Escalade Chairman VIP Edition provides full perimeter security from 7.62mm rifle rounds, and is even capable of staving off two simultaneous blasts of DM51 hand grenades underneath the vehicle. Optional upgrades to the security include a 360-degree camera system, night vision, satellite TV, lockable storage for firearms, heavy duty wheels, door assists, engine bay fire suppression, a siren, PA, and plenty more.
The Escalade’s naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87) provides more than enough motivation to handle the heavy armor, producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Units featuring the optional 3.0L turbodiesel (production code LM2) can also be upgraded with the Inkas armor. While Inkas does not mention any powertrain upgrades, it does say that the armored Cadillac Escalade has reinforced suspension and structural components while maintaining its ride quality.
