2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV To Start At $80,490

Earlier this week, Cadillac Society exclusively reported that the regular-length 2021 Escalade will start at $76,195, or $77,490 with the $1,295 destination charge. Now, the luxury automaker has officially announced pricing for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV, which will have a base price of $80,490, including the $1,295 destination charge, in the United States.

Base-level Cadillac Escalade ESV models will come standard with an industry-first 38-inch curved OLED display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an HD Surround Vision camera system and a 19-speaker AKG premium audio system.

Under the hood will be a 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code L87), which makes 420 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 RPM. The next-generation SUV will also offer a new 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LM2) as a no-cost option, as first reported by Cadillac Society. The diesel engine makes 277 horsepower and a class-leading 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Escalade ESV was previously set to debut at the 2020 New York International Auto Show, however the show was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While Cadillac has yet to officially unveil the extended wheelbase luxury SUV,  we already know it will offer an additional two inches of legroom in both the second and third rows, along with an extra 5.7 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the first row and an extra 4.8 cubic feet of cargo behind the second row. Cargo space behind the third-row has also grown by 3.6 cubic feet.

Like other current and new Cadillac vehicles, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV adheres to the brand’s Y-trim level hierarchy, offering both Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels as the next step up from the base Luxury trim. Customers will also be able to apply the Cadillac Platinum Package to both the 2021 Escalade ESV Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, allowing them to pair the high-end content of the range-topping Platinum Package with the unique equipment offered by the two different trims.

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV and the regular-length Escalade were previously set to enter production by mid-2020 and go on sale later in the year, but COVID-19 may delay the vehicles’ respective arrivals. As of this writing, however, the launch is still on track.

We’ll keep following the story, so for now, be sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for more Cadillac Escalade news and Cadillac news coverage. And don’t forget to join the discussion on our Cadillac forums and Cadillac Escalade forums.
