Cadillac Escalade sales increased in the United States and Canada while decreasing in South Korea in the second quarter of 2018.
In the United States, Cadillac Escalade deliveries totaled 9,655 units, an increase of 0.84 percent compared to 9,575 units sold in Q2 2017.
We should note that the 9,655 deliveries were comprised of roughly a 5:3 split between the regular-length Escalade and extended-length Escalade ESV. However, the table below shows 0 units and a 100 percent drop for the Escalade ESV, since Cadillac no longer breaks out Escalade from Escalade ESV sales. As such, the table shows combined Escalade and Escalade ESV sales for Q2 2018 and broken out Escalade and Escalade ESV sales for Q2 2017.
In the first six months of the year, Escalade sales increased 4 percent to 17,766 units.

Cadillac did not report second quarter Escalade sales figures for the Chinese market.
The Escalade is available in China in limited quantities, as it is imported into the country rather than being assembled locally – a circumstance that causes China to impose a hefty tariff on the model.
The Escalade second second quarter 2018 sales performance enables the model to remain the best-selling vehicle in its competitive set in terms of sales volume in the United States.
Despite being the oldest product in the segment, the Escalade managed to outsell the Lincoln Navigator (see Lincoln Navigator sales), Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, Infiniti QX80, Lexus LX and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Notably, the Escalade accounted for 38 percent of the segment’s sales volume.
We should also note that the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class is not a body-on-frame SUV like the rest of the segment contenders. Instead, it’s a large unibody crossover – so it doesn’t play in this segment directly, but that is not something relevant to most consumers. Cadillac has been rumored to enter the full-size crossover segment with a vehicle of its own, but no plans have been confirmed outside the upcoming Cadillac XT6, which will be a “midsize plus” crossover along the lines of the Audi Q7, Volvo XC90 and Infiniti QX60.

The current Escalade is coming to the end of the lifecycle. An all-new future Escalade is expected for the 2020 model year as part the Cadillac future product offensive that will bring a new model to market every six months, a total of five vehicle lines in the space of just two years.
The full-size luxury SUV segment contracted 7 percent in the second quarter of 2018 and 3.7 percent in the first six months of 2018.
