I agree it is frustrating. I had the black top added after my purchase, before I even drove it off the dealer lot. I had a high-gloss vinyl wrap put on the upper rails and across the back roof area, over the antenna. The finish matches the black trim elsewhere on the car. It looks great. It cost me $1,300 vs. the $600 originally offered by GM, but it now looks the way I wanted it to look.
