When I bought mine the sales guy verbally told me to restrict rpm’s to 5k for the first 500 miles. I thought I strange that the redline was 4500. I asked service and was told that would change after 500 miles. To add to the above, the 4500 redline is on the Tach, but you can exceed that, which I frequently did until I was told (pretty hard not to). I watched the odometer and at 500, bingo, the redline changed. For any of you that buy one I would suggest a road trip or two to break it in with variable road speed. Because it takes super human effort not to exceed 4500 around town. This car really, really wants to go high R’s!
