XT5 Navigation Maps Update - Cadillac Society

I am getting conflicting stories from OnStar Support and my dealers service advisor.

Does my 2023 XT5 get any map updates automatically with a data plan, or do you have to pay $99.99 to get a new SD card?

There are three different Map systems on the XT5, the default Maps, Cadillac Maps+ and Apple Maps, which use the SD Card and which use the internet to get maps?

If you have onboard navigation you need the OnStar plan that includes “connected navigation”. It will update real time traffic and updates.

within your vehicle’s navigation system (if properly equipped)

Does that really include “MAP” updates?

Does that really include “Map updates”, which they seem intent of me buying a new SD card with Map info. The company selling it, seems to provide updates to more than just GM cars, but I would bet GM gets some sort of kickback on any purchases.
